Where to eat on-mountain at SkiBig3 in Banff National Park

It's easy to work up an appetite when skiing or snowboarding, especially if you are shredding at the SkiBig3 resorts Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise Ski Resort, and Mt. Norquay. Luckily, you don't have to worry about going hungry as there are plenty of delicious dining options available at the mountain across all three resorts. Whether you want to fuel up for the day ahead, indulge in a hearty post-ride meal, or enjoy some après - we've got you covered. Java Station

Location: Creekside Lodge


Open from: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm


Before jumping on the Sunshine Gondola for your day of mountain adventures, stop by Java Station in the Creekside Lodge. It's the perfect place to pick up a quick pastry and your morning coffee. You can also grab some snacks for the day too!

The Coco Lab


Location: Lookout Lodge


Ready for a quick warm-up break or snack stop? The Coco Lab is waiting for you. Warm up those fingers and toes by treating yourself to a hot chocolate at The Coco Lab. You'll find it in the base of the Lookout Lodge. It's the perfect place to recharge on the mountain before hitting the snowy slopes again.


Java Lift Coffee Bar

Location: Base of Sunshine Mountain Lodge, next to the Standish Express Quad


Open from: 6:00 am - 5:00 pm


If you're feeling low on energy or need a quick boost, make your way to Java Lift and try some of their yummy snacks. Choose from freshly baked pastries, mouth-watering bagels, and more. If you're in the mood for a hot drink, order a hand-crafted beverage like a flat white or spicy chai latte to help you warm up before hitting the slopes again. You'll find it on the ground level of Sunshine Mountain Lodge next to the Standish Express chairlift.



Location: Goat's Eye


Open from: 10:30 am - 4:30 pm


After a fun day on the mountain and before you ski to the base, stop at BeaverTails for your ski-out treat. Try the signature Canadian pastry beside Goat's Eye Lodge to give you one last boost to the bottom!

The Alpine Grill

Location: Lookout Lodge


Open from: 11:00 am - 4:30pm


If you're looking for a quick and tasty meal, stop by The Alpine Grill and choose from a range of international cuisines. From delicious pizzas and pastas to tasty burritos burgers and more, you can refuel with your favourite food and get ready to hit the snow again in no time. You can find The Alpine Grill on the second level in the Lookout Lodge.


The Lookout Lounge

Location: Lookout Lodge


Open from: 11:00 am - 4:30pm


Just above the Alpine Grill, you will find the Lookout Lounge. This is the perfect place to enjoy a meal on the mountain and a more relaxed lunch. You can choose from a variety of bistro-style dishes, including salads, pizzas, burgers, and more. While refuelling, sit back, relax, and take in the breathtaking views of the mountain.


Nikko Ramen

Location: Main Lodge


Open from: 11:00am - 4:30pm


Are you searching for a delicious lunch spot? Look no further than Nikko Ramen at the base of Lookout Lodge. This restaurant is an excellent place to enjoy a heartwarming bowl of ramen that will give you energy for the rest of your day. At Nikko Ramen, you can have a relaxing sit-down meal and try out their 4 original Sunshine ramen flavours.


Mad Trappers

Location: Old Sunshine Mountain Lodge


Open from: 10:00am - 12:00am


If you want to experience the history of Banff Sunshine, you must visit Mad Trappers. A place that has been around since 1928, you'll find yourself in a cosy Canadian lodge filled with iconic pictures and artefacts that will give you all the retro ski vibes. And let's not forget about the food! Mad Trappers serves some of the best Canadian delicacies, including poutine. They also offer applewood-smoked meats and southwestern dishes. You won't want to miss the Mad Trappers experience!


The Chimney Corner

Location: Sunshine Mountain Lodge, Second Floor


Open from: 7:00 am - 10:00pm


Sit back and relax with a delicious lunch at The Chimney Corner. Admire the stunning mountain views through the large bay windows and get cosy next to the two wood-burning fireplaces. It's the perfect spot to taste great food, spend quality family time and appreciate the beauty of Banff Sunshine. If it's a bluebird day, you can step outside and enjoy the views on the outdoor terrace.


Goats Eye Bar & Grill

Location: Goat's Eye


Open from: 8:30 am - 4:30pm


If you happen to be down at Goat's Eye for lunch, you can treat yourself to a quick lunch at Goat's Eye Bar & Grill. They serve freshly grilled food, as well as soups, sandwiches, and snacks. If it's sunny outside, why not relax in the outside seating area, soak up the rays and enjoy some yummy food? You'll find the Goat's Eye Lodge next to the Goat's Eye Express chairlift.

Are you looking for the perfect place to finish for some après at the end of the day? Look no further than Mad Trappers. With a delicious snack and a refreshing cold beer in your hand, you can relive all the fun you had shredding at Sunshine. If you happen to be visiting during Spring, you're in for a real treat! You won't want to miss the Untracked Concert Series, where you can enjoy live music, good vibes, and your favourite drinks.


Creekside Bar & Grill

Location: Creekside Lodge

After a full day on the mountain and after completing the ski out, why not treat yourself to a snack and a post-ski drink at Creekside Bar & Grill? Enjoy happy hour specials as well as live music all-season long.


Eagles Nest

Location: Sunshine Mountain Lodge, Mezzanine Level


Open from: 5:00 pm - 10:00pm


If you're looking for a fancier dining experience, treat yourself to a luxurious dinner at The Eagle's Nest. It is located on the mezzanine level of the Sunshine Mountain Lodge and offers a perfect mountain ambiance with a touch of luxury. The dinner menu features a variety of delicious dishes, including bison, salmon, and AAA Alberta beef. To secure a scenic table by the window, make sure to book in advance.

If you're in search of a quick stop or a longer break at the backside of Lake Louise, make your way to Temple Market Cafe. You can choose from a variety of hot and cold drinks and grab a quick snack to refuel for your next run. You can relax indoors or outdoors on the patio and enjoy the breathtaking alpine views. Please note that this restaurant is exclusively accessible to skiers and snowboarders with a valid lift ticket.

Kuma Yama

Whilst sushi may not be your typical food option at a ski resort, Kuma Yama offers a unique dining experience that will make your day even better! Enjoy international-style tapas with a Japanese twist and Canadian influence. Try one of their ramen bowls, nigiri, salmon, and custom maki rolls. Plus, did you know Kuma Yama translates from Japanese to 'Bear on the Mountain'?


Whitehorn Bistro

Location: Whitehorn Bistro (Frontside)

For something a bit more bougie, glide your way over to the Whitehorn Bistro. Taste the delicious menu featuring fresh ingredients from local and boutique vendors, and try their expertly crafted cocktails. You'll also find some of Alberta's best craft distillery drinks, BC wines and over 25 different craft beers from across Canada. Be sure to head over here for one of the most delicious meals at Lake Louise. Please note, this restaurant is accessible by skiers or snowboarders only during the winter months and requires a valid lift pass


Lodge of Ten Peaks

Looking for a quick lunch option to maximise your time on the slope? The Lodge of Ten Peaks is the perfect grab-and-go option. Choose from fresh salads, pastries or snacks, plus hot and cold drinks there's something for everyone!


Sawyer's Nook

Location: Temple Lodge (Backside)


Open from: 10:00 am - 3:00pm


Craving a traditional mountain menu with house-made favourites, make your way over to Sawyer's Nook upstairs in Temple Lodge on the backside of the ski resort. Dive into the famous cheese fondue and a charcuterie for two. Or, indulge in the famous Alpine Smashed Brisket Burger whilst taking in the sweeping mountain vistas. Pair your delicious meal with a frosty beer, mulled wine, or cider. This restaurant is accessible by skis or a snowboard only and requires a valid lift pass.


Powder Keg Lounge

Location: Lodge of Ten Peaks


Open from: Mon - Fri 11:00am - 6:00om, Sat-Sun


Are you concerned about potentially missing seeing your favourite sports team play while skiing at Lake Louise? Worry not, because the Powder Keg Lounge is here to save the day. This mountainside sports lounge features large-screen TVs that showcase the latest sports action. You can celebrate both your skiing and team with a freshly-poured beer and a traditional sports bar menu that includes fresh flatbread pizzas, crispy wings, nachos, tacos, hot soups, chilli, and more.


Whiskyjack Cafe

Bier Stube

Location: Lodge of Ten Peaks

If you're looking to grab a quick beer, be sure to check out Bier Stube at the base of the resort. With fresh and perfectly chilled beers on offer, it's the perfect solution for a convenient cold beer on tap. If you're feeling peckish, they also have some delicious snacks on offer to keep you going during your day on the slopes!

Cascade Lodge

Location: Base Area


Open from: 8:00am - 5pm


If you're after a pre-ski or snowboard snack place to take a break or a post-ski meal, head over to the Cascade Lodge. You'll find a range of delicious dishes and snacks. You can either grab something to go, or head into the deli and cafeteria located on the main floor for a more leisurely break.

Lone Pine

Location: Cascade Lodge


Open from: 8:00am - 5pm


The place to be for some après-ski at Mt. Norquay is at the Lone Pine. They offer a mix of traditional and contemporary pub grub, which is sure to fill you up. Be sure to try out the specially created local Norquay '97 beer too from Banff Ave Brewing Co.  - it's a popular choice among the locals.
