Travel Like an Influencer: Kellyn Wilson’s Couples Ski Getaway

When it comes to planning the ultimate couples’ ski trip, few people do it better than travel influencer Kellyn Wilson. She recently swapped city life for fresh mountain air, diving into Banff National Park’s world-class skiing, après spots, and vibrant dining scene. From luxe hotel stays to powder-filled ski days, her itinerary was the perfect balance of adventure and romance.

Checking in: Hotel Canoe & Suites

Kellyn checked in at one of Banff’s newest hotels, Canoe & Suites, just steps from downtown. With mountain views, modern design, and premium in-room coffee, it was the perfect home base for a romantic winter escape.

Day One: Slopes and sips at Mt. Norquay

After breakfast at Sudden Sally, the couple hopped on the SkiBig3 shuttle for their first day on the slopes at Mt. Norquay, Banff’s local gem. Just 10 minutes from town, Mt. Norquay offers terrain for every level, from gentle groomers to steep challenges. Lunch at Lone Pine Pub was the ideal midday break.

Day Two: Banff Sunshine Village

Day two was all about high-alpine skiing at Banff Sunshine Village. Kelly and her partner explored 3,300 acres of varied terrain, perfect for couples of different abilities since every chair offers green, blue, and black options. They skied side by side, each choosing runs that matched their comfort level. Lunch at Chimney Corner, with alpine views and crackling fireplaces, rounded out the day.

Day Three: Bluebird and Banff Adventures

What is a couple’s trip without a slow morning? Breakfast at Bluebird, Banff’s newest mid-century modern steakhouse, sets the vibe with crackling fires and a yummy selection of brunch options. In the afternoon, the couple explored Banff off the slopes, including a private tasting at Park Distillery and skating on Lake Louise. For dinner, Kellyn headed to Lupo, one of Banff’s favourite Italian restaurants.

Day Four: Lake Louise Ski Resort

The trip wrapped at Lake Louise Ski Resort, one of North America’s largest with 4,200 acres of terrain. Its layout makes it another great option for mixed-ability couples, with beginner, intermediate, and expert runs from every lift. Après took an unexpected twist at Kuma Yama, a sushi and ramen bar tucked inside the lodge, the perfect way to end their final day.

Celebrating 100 Years of Mt. Norquay – Centennial Celebrations

This year, Mt. Norquay turns 100, and for a resort that has taught generations of Alberta locals how to ski and snowboard, that calls for a proper, mountain-sized celebration. On May 28, Norquay is hosting a centenary “Day of Nostalgia,” bringing the community together to celebrate a century of history, heart, and that unmistakable locals’ hill vibe.
