Organizational Relationships

This position will be part of the SkiBig3 Marketing Team, working closely with all SkiBig3 departments, Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise Ski Resort, Mt Norquay, Banff & Lake Louise Tourism, and other SkiBig3 partners.

Summary Description

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the primary function of this seasonal position is to support the marketing department in coordinating all operational logistics for media, travel trade (B2B), and influencer familiarization trips (FAMs).

This includes managing trip itineraries, coordinating with resort and industry partners, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, and ensuring every visit is organized and seamless, delivering an exceptional guest experience. In addition to FAM coordination, this role provides support across a variety of marketing initiatives throughout the season.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of marketing, including media relations, influencer marketing, destination marketing, content creation, copywriting, events, communications, and campaign execution, while working alongside an experienced and collaborative marketing team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Media & Communication

  • Maintain the shared FAM calendar with accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Liaise with industry partners (hotels, Banff & Lake Louise Tourism, activity providers, and restaurants), resort partners, and stakeholders to coordinate and book comprehensive FAM itineraries for visiting media, tour & travel, and influencer guests.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for media, influencer, and tour operator guests before, during, and after their visit (including occasional evenings and weekends).
  • Manage and respond to media inquiries, including last-minute itinerary changes and troubleshooting operational issues during FAM visits.
  • Maintain ongoing correspondence with media and influencers.
  • Track and report on media and social coverage.
  • Assist with blog writing and website content updates.

Other Responsibilities

  • Maintain the events calendar on the SkiBig3 website.
  • Assist the Marketing & Sales department with projects and events throughout the season.
  • Support a variety of marketing initiatives including creative campaigns, digital marketing, social media, events, copywriting, presentations, website updates, and special marketing projects based on your interests and strengths.
  • Provide general marketing support through administrative, project management, content updates, stakeholder requests, and other assigned duties.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Strong sense of curiosity and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem-solve under pressure and tight timelines.
  • Experience coordinating or supporting events, trips, or functions.
  • Experience writing social media content, blogs, emails, or other customer-facing content.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable hosting meetings and communicating with resort and industry partners.
  • Highly proactive with excellent ownership and follow-through.
  • Experience in digital marketing, social media, PR, creative/design, content, or performance marketing is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational, teamwork, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Positive, team-first attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed.
  • Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and adapting quickly.
  • Eagerness to learn new marketing skills and take on new challenges.
  • Curiosity to explore trends, ask questions, find answers, and make recommendations.
  • Experience in travel or hospitality is preferred.
  • Experience with Canva is preferred.
  • Passion for skiing and/or snowboarding is preferred.
  • Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability is considered an asset but is not required.
