
IT Coordinator - Seasonal

SkiBig3 is currently seeking a Seasonal IT Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Information Technology Team, the primary function of this position is to provide frontline technical support across the organization while helping maintain and improve the systems, tools, and processes that support SkiBig3 operations.
This role serves as the first point of contact for staff technology requests, ensuring timely support and a positive employee experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, initiative, curiosity, and a desire to learn. Recent graduates and candidates early in their IT careers are encouraged to apply.
This is a seasonal position beginning in Summer 2026 through early April 2027, supporting SkiBig3’s peak operational period.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Level 1 IT support across the organization and retail locations.
- Monitor and manage the helpdesk inbox, including triaging requests, resolving issues, tracking work, and escalating cases as required.
- Provide hands-on support for workstations, printers, mobile devices, networking equipment, meeting room technology, and other office technology.
- Coordinate support with external partners and vendors, ensuring issues are routed and resolved appropriately.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including account creation, access management, equipment preparation, and documentation.
- Maintain hardware inventory and support lifecycle management of technology assets.
Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, knowledge base articles, and operational guides. - Assist with administration and support of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and related business systems.
- Support deployment and maintenance of digital signage, office technology, and retail technology systems.
- Assist with remote access tools, password management systems, and security-related processes.
Participate in operational support during peak ski season, including occasional weekend or holiday coverage during critical business periods. - Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, documentation, standardization, and the effective use of technology.
- Opportunities exist to contribute to software development, reporting, analytics, automation, system integration, AI initiatives, and business improvement projects.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:
- Technical education, certification, or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Systems Administration, Networking, Software Development, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a helpdesk, service desk, desktop support, or similar IT role is considered an asset.
- Comfortable troubleshooting Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and common business technologies.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and support staff with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation and user-facing guides.
- Interest in using AI tools to support learning, troubleshooting, and day-to-day work.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365, networking, or IT administration is considered an asset.
- Exposure to SQL, reporting tools, software development, scripting, automation platforms, or business intelligence tools is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a ski, hospitality, tourism, retail, or operational environment is considered an asset.
- Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn new technologies.
Other Requirements:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- A class 5 driver’s license is considered an asset.
- This position is based primarily in Banff and requires regular on-site work at SkiBig3 offices and retail locations. Occasional travel to SkiBig3 resorts, and other operational facilities may be required.
- Must be available to work throughout SkiBig3’s peak operational season, including occasional weekend and holiday support during critical periods.
