Job Description

SkiBig3 is currently seeking vibrant and energetic level 3 & 4 instructors with a sense of fun, to teach the “Nonstop Snow” (www.nonstopsnow.com) instructor training program. This incredible program focuses on preparing participants to become ski instructors, providing coaching certification courses, while immersing them in Canadian mountain culture.

Our instructors teach a 10-week program starting at the beginning of January from each of our SkiBig3 resorts – Banff Sunshine, The Lake Louise Ski Resort and Mt. Norquay.

By becoming a SkiBig3 Nonstop instructor, you will provide coaching and mentorship to unique individuals from around the world. You will be working with like-minded people, who often form lifelong friendships, who share their passion for skiing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Teaching – both on and off snow
  • Following the daily curriculum and methodology created by Nonstop
  • Attending daily on snow meetings
  • Attending off snow meetings with Nonstop staff
  • Participating in off snow activities with clients organized by Nonstop
  • Participating in off snow tech sessions
  • Conducting yourself in a safe and professional matter at all times
  • Always be on time and well-presented when dealing with clients
  • Act as an ambassador for SkiBig3 and Nonstop
  • Adhere to all policies and regulations at Lake Louise Ski Resort, Banff Sunshine and Mt. Norquay

Job Requirements/Qualifications

Skills Required:

  • A sense of fun with an energetic, positive attitude
  • Safety conscious, mature and professional
  • Genuine, honest and hard working
  • Reliable, organized and well presented
  • Be flexible and open minded with teaching methods
  • Strong understanding of current CSIA technique and course content
  • Able to work as a supportive team member
  • Familiarity with Banff and our three resorts

 

Qualifications

  • CSIA level three or four
  • Park trained or certified
  • CSCF Entry level coach
  • Current trained CSIA/CASI course conductor
  • Police background check valid within six months of hire date

Work Schedule

Successful candidates need to be available for training days in December (TBA).

10-week program runs January – March, 2022
