Outdoor Hot Pools with Rocky Mountain Views

You melt into space as all tension from your body is released. Above, a blanket of stars dots the night sky, inviting your mind to calm and wander. Majestic mountain ranges frame the heavens and bring you back in, as you reflect on your day discovering the snowy mountain faces similar to these.

There's nothing quite like recuperating your mind and body with a soothing hot pool soak. Especially so after an invigorating day skiing and riding the slopes at Banff National Park's best ski resorts. These outdoor hot tubs let you take in our stunning mountain vista views, day and night. Which ones have you been to?

Sunshine Mountain Lodge

A stay at the only ski-in/ski-out accommodation in Banff National Park means you'll also get to experience the largest outdoor hot pool in Banff National Park! Soak in the serenity as you scope your favourite ski lines for the next day. Several lifts and runs are within clear view from your resting spot of relaxation.

Hidden Ridge Resort

It helps that this resort is already perched atop Tunnel Mountain, giving it an advantageous vantage point for stunning mountain views. With the natural landscaping style of these two outdoor pools, they blend in seamlessly with the surroundings and make you feel one with the outdoors. Enjoy Bow Valley-wide mountain views from your relaxing soak here.

Mount Royal Hotel

Unwinding at the rooftop hot pools and Cascade Lounge at the newly redesigned Mount Royal Hotel is an experience in itself. Here, you'll enjoy views of Cascade, Rundle and Sulphur mountains as well as the Sundance Range. Take your relaxation to a new level with a craft cocktail or apres snack, as you cap off your day of adventures in the mountains.

Deer Lodge

Both rustic and charming, the historic structure and ambience of Deer Lodge has a unique appeal. But it's their state-of-the-art rooftop hot pool that offers breathtaking views. Enjoy the grandeur of Victoria Glacier in all her glory, delicately perched above the stunning Lake Louise. You'll blend in seamlessly with the mountain scenery here.

Banff Upper Hot Springs

A visit to the Banff Upper Hot Springs is on the bucket list of many Canadian Rockies visitors, and for good reason. Its history dates way back to the founding of Canada's first national park, and its thermal waters seasonally fill the pool from deep beneath the Earth's surface. From the hot pool, enjoy front seat views of the Rundle range, best enjoyed early in the morning.

The Moose Hotel & Suites

Located right in the heart of downtown Banff, the Moose Hotel is the perfect location to hop in and out of the action as you please. Whether you need a quick pick me up before a night on the town, or a chance to wind down after a day on the mountains, their rooftop hot pools are just the ticket. Open early and open late, this is the perfect place for a soak, checking out the mountain views and warming up by their outdoor firepit.

One, from Willow Stream spa's outdoor whirlpool, and the other from the fitness centre's outdoor heated pool. Both are nothing short of sublime. The different perspectives of the Bow River flanked by Tunnel Mountain and Mt. Rundle are sure to leave a lasting impression.
