Banff Sunshine Summer Skiing
Get ready to carve turns in the heart of the Canadian Rockies this summer. Thanks to a record snow year, Banff Sunshine’s 2026 Summer Ski Season returns June 20 to July 5, delivering 16 days of summer skiing and riding in Banff National Park.
Current plans include operating both the Strawberry Express and Standish Express chairlifts throughout the summer ski season, with terrain and feature updates to be shared closer to opening day as snow conditions permit. From groomed summer laps to the return of the Summer Strawberry Terrain Park, the crew is already preparing for another unforgettable summer season.
Summer skiing is complimentary for guests with a 2026/27 SkiBig3 Season Pass, Banff Sunshine Season Pass, Rocky Mountain Passport, or an overnight stay at Sunshine Mountain Lodge. Guests with a 2026/27 Midweek Pass can ski Monday through Thursday during the summer ski season.
Guests with a 2025/26 SkiBig3 Season Pass, Banff Sunshine Season Pass, or Rocky Mountain Passport will receive 50% off summer skiing lift tickets. 2025/26 and 2026/27 Ikon and Mountain Collective passholders are also eligible for 50% off lift tickets.

Youth & Senior: $50
Child (6–12): $30
Kids 5 & under ski free
The SkiBig3 Adventure Hub will offer ski and snowboard rentals based on availability. Please note the Hub will be closed on June 30th for the morning, until approximately 12:00 pm (subject to change).
For guests looking to maximize their summer skiing experience, Sunshine Mountain Lodge opens for the summer on June 19. Summer ski access is included with all overnight stays, making it easy to enjoy first tracks and extended time on the mountain.

• Chimney Corner (Sunshine Mountain Lodge): 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• Mad Trappers: 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Please note that during the Summer Ski Season, Banff Sunshine sightseeing and hiking operations will be paused. Summer sightseeing and hiking will begin July 6, following the conclusion of summer skiing operations.
