Lake Louise Ski Resort's Jr. Big Mountain Challenge is back for 2026! A part of the North American Freeride Junior Tour, the Jr. Big Mountain Challenge is sanctioned by the International Freeskier and Snowboarder Association. Open for ages 12-18.
Over the course of 2 days, watch the next generation of freeride skiers and snowboarders take on big mountain terrain!

Schedule
Thursday 26 Feb - U12 ski and snowboard non-sanctioned contest
Friday 27 Feb - U19 ski mandatory meeting, inspection and qualifying runs
Saturday 28 Feb - U15 ski, U15 snowboard & U19 snowboard
Sunday 1 March - Finals for all U15 + U19
** please note, there will be a roll call at the mandatory athlete meetings in the morning. If you are not present during the roll call you cannot compete.

Bibs + Gear
All athletes must wear their assigned bib. A $40 deposit will be taken and refunded upon return of your bib at the completion of the competition. Helmets and back protectors are mandatory.
Athlete Package + Waivers
All athletes must sign a Lake Louise Ski Resort and IFSA waiver. An Athlete Package will be emailed to competitors following signup to LiveHeats are will include waivers, Athlete bios, discounted ticket price info and more event details. Please make sure your email is correct when you sign up.
Lift Tickets
All athletes, parents and siblings are eligible for 20% off lift tickets. Another option for adults and kids ages 13+ is a Lake Louise Plus+Card which provides 3 free days (1st, 4th, and 7th visit) plus 20% off tickets all other days - just $155.
