Driving to Banff & Lake Louise couldn’t be easier!  The 90 minute trip from the Calgary International Airport (YYC) to Banff National Park skirts around the city of Calgary and heads directly west into the mountains. No high mountain passes, no grid-lock traffic. You’ll be treated to the wide-open, fully divided TransCanada Highway (Hwy #1) directly from the Calgary to the town of Banff.

The hamlet of Lake Louise is a further 40 minutes west.  Along the way you’ll have many options to pull off the highway to soak in the views.

If you are driving, you will need to stop at the East Gate entrance to Banff National Park to get a park pass. You can purchase this in advance online.

Leave the driving to us. It's easy!

One of the great things about Banff and Lake Louise is that everything is very accessible. If you opt to take one of the frequent airport shuttle services from Calgary to Banff, you’ll get a ride directly to your hotel entrance. Once in the town of Banff, you’ll find it very walkable, and you can easily jump on the local transit system to get you further afield.  Airport shuttles are also available to Lake Louise. Airport shuttles can be booked online as part of your SkiBig3 package.

Another great perk is FREE access to ski resort shuttles. These ski shuttles have multiple drop-off and pick-up points around town, so chances are you won’t have to go more than a few steps with your equipment.
