How to Master Layers
The old adage “If you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes” is all too true in the Canadian Rockies. Temperatures can change dramatically one day to the next; it will feel like a warm, spring day one day and the next day can be so cold your eyelashes will grow icicles in a flash. Temperature fluctuations from morning to midday can be quite intense too – it may well be 10 degrees warmer at lunch than when you arrived at the slopes. The best way to be ready: layers and lots of them! So to help you pack the right gear, here is some practical advice on which layers to wear when.
