What’s new in Banff & Lake Louise

With winter fast approaching, we are excited to showcase the new additions you can expect to discover at SkiBig3 resorts this season. On top of that, discover some exciting new award-winning culinary and accommodation options to enhance your off-mountain experience.

On the Mountains

New Chairlifts at Banff Sunshine & Lake Louise Ski Resort

“Super Angel” is a new, state-of-the-art, high-speed, six-passenger bubble chairlift.  Replacing Banff Sunshine’s long-time favorite Angel Express, Super Angel will whisk skiers and riders quickly out of the upper village base area in style. Complete with heated bucket seats and a bubble cover to ensure a warm and comfortable ride towards breath-taking views high up on Lookout Mountain.

New for 2024, Lake Louise Ski Resort is launching the Pipestone Express Chairlift – A six-passenger heated chairlift complete with cozy blue bubbles to shield riders from any incremental weather. This state-of-the-art chairlift connects skiers and riders from the top of the base area Juniper Chair to the bottom of Summit Chair creating easier access for advanced skiers to rapidly access the resort’s West Bowl and back-bowl freeride zones.
