Warm Up To Winter With Five Bow Valley Fitness Classes

With cold weather upon us and winter on the not-too-distant horizon, the temptation to temporarily hibernate until ski season is real. But shoulder season is prime time to prep those ski legs into prime condition. Want to hit the slopes running once the SkiBig3 chair lifts start spinning? Check out these local Bow Valley fitness locations to help you get there. Most studios or centres offer a class focusing on conditioning for winter activities.

Restorative yoga classes guide poses that are held for longer periods of time, allowing for deep relaxation and healing. This gentle practice is suitable for all levels, including those working through injuries.

Join level 4 ski instructor and highly trained Yoga, Christine Davidson, with Yoga for Snow Sports. These exercises will strengthen your body for all the snow sports you participate in. Work on your balance, stability, strength and flexibility. Use wobble boards, straps, balls and rollers to prepare your body for the hill. Come back to the yoga mat and your breath to prepare your mind for winter.
