Spring Events at SkiBig3: Where and When to Go

Here we go again! Once again, we are nearing up to one of the most fun filled, exciting periods of the ski season. While other resorts are starting their spring thaw, SkiBig3 is only getting started. You can enjoy après and spring events right into the end of May.  

Here’s what’s going on. 

 

 

Après in Town

SkiBig3 & Bluebird Après Happy Hour – Retro Wrap Party (March 14)

Every Friday we’ve been enjoying SkiBig3 cocktails, retro DJ vibes and cozy firepits at Bluebird this season. Now, join us for the final event of the year with an epic retro wrap party! Join us from 3-5 pm in your best vintage ski suit for our biggest bash yet! Reserve your table now.

Spring Afternoons at Banff Sunshine  

Untracked Concert Series (April through May)

Starting April 1st and running every weekend until Slush Cup (Monday May 19th, 2025), enjoy live music (from local artists right around Canada) and flowing beers outside Mad Trappers Saloon.  

 

Holy Bowly (May 3rd and 4th)

Hoping to catch the pros throw a few Tamedogs, Rodeos, Tail Grabs and Wildcats, then Holy Bowly is the spring event for you. Over 2 days, witness awesome tricks coming off features and park builds you have never seen before.  

 

Slush Cup (May 19th)

The season finale that everyone looks forward to – Slush Cup! Free for all to join, you can partake in the daring challenge of skiing or snowboarding across a cold bed of icy water. This is the event of all events and is not one to miss.  

 

 

Après Parties at Lake Louise Ski Resort

There is truly nothing better than ending a spring skiing day, with an après party. Lake Louise Ski Resort is this years après destination, with 3 different après events almost every weekend.  

You heard it here! You can ski across the resort and hit not 1, not 2, but 3 après events!

At the Temple Lodge, you can enjoy the Corona Temple Lodge Take Over, featuring DJ Bunny Hops, while sipping on a cold beer and enjoying a taco or two from their outdoor taco stand.  

When: March 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th and April 5th  

Time: 11am – 3pm  

 

The Whitehorn Bistro is hosting après with a view and flowing White Claws.  

When: March 22nd, 29th and April 5th  

Time: 11am – 3pm

 

If you’re hoping to party longer, you can head down to the Banded Peak for their extended Deck Party.

Enjoy different DJ’s every week and party until the sun sets.  

When: March 15th, 22nd, 29th, April 5th, 19th and 20th  

Time: 2pm – 6pm 

 

Mount Slushmore (April 26th)

End the Lake Louise Ski Season with their annual Mount Slushmore. Grad a Banded Peak Brew, lather on some sunscreen and watch as you fellow skiers and snowboarders dare to pond skim across an icy pool of water!  

This is a FREE event for all to watch and to participate.
