Spring skiing in Banff National Park has arrived, and that can only mean one thing: longer days, bluebird skies, patio après and the return of classic SkiBig3 spring events. From high-energy terrain park sessions to iconic pond skims and lively patio parties, spring in Banff is packed with unforgettable moments on and off the slopes. This guide is your one-stop shop for everything happening this spring at Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise Ski Resort and Mt. Norquay.
Banff Sunshine

GOAT Club
Kicking off every weekend from 1–4PM at Goats Eye Gardens, GOAT Club delivers the ultimate spring vibe. Expect cold drinks, sunshine and high-energy après sessions that perfectly cap off a day on the slopes. On April 11–12, catch Canadian country artist Tim Hus live on the mountain. Then on May 2–3, Whistler DJ duo SkiiTour brings their signature retro ski energy to GOAT Club with funky beats and unforgettable spring sessions.

Red Bull Jump & Freeze
The legendary Red Bull Jump & Freeze, Red Bull’s winter-themed soapbox race, is heading to Banff Sunshine on April 25. Expect self-built vehicles, outrageous costumes and plenty of thrills (and spills) as competitors attempt to launch across a pond of icy water. It’s chaotic, hilarious and one of spring’s most entertaining mountain spectacles.

Slush Cup
Wrap up the season in true Banff Sunshine style with the iconic Slush Cup over the May long weekend. Skiers and riders don their most outrageous costumes and attempt to skim across a freezing pool of water, with varying degrees of success. Come for the pond skim and stay for live DJs, patio drinks and one of the most legendary spring parties in the Rockies.

Dusk of the Village
Snowboy Productions returns to Banff Sunshine with the final instalment of Dusk of the Village, building a dream park filled with creative jibs and flowing transitions. Designed with snowboard progression and creativity in mind, this event brings together riders from across the community for an unforgettable spring park session.

SMITH Cold Steel Rail Jam
Presented by Smith Optics, the Cold Steel Rail Jam is an open-format competition welcoming everyone from seasoned park riders to first-timers looking to test their skills. With ski and snowboard categories for all ages, expect a high-energy day of style, progression and community in the terrain park.

What the Huck
Following a jam-style format, What the Huck welcomes snowboarders of all abilities to a terrain park filled with low-impact features designed for creativity and fun. All proceeds support the Jamie Blain Memorial Foundation, raising funds for mental health and wellness within the snowboarding community.

Holy Bowly
Snowboy Productions’ iconic Holy Bowly returns to Banff Sunshine for another unforgettable spring session. Expect a one-of-a-kind terrain park built entirely from snow, featuring bowls, hips, jumps, spines and flowing transitions that celebrate creativity and style in snow sports.
When: April 27-May 3

Lake Louise Ski Resort

Corona Temple Takeover
The Temple Lodge patio is calling. Every Saturday afternoon through March from 11AM–3PM, the Corona Temple Takeover brings classic spring après vibes to the backside of Lake Louise. Expect DJ sets from DJ Bunny Hops, tasty tacos and plenty of ice-cold Coronas. It’s the perfect wind-down spring laps.

Banded Peak Deck Party
Every Saturday through March and April, the Banded Peak Base Camp patio comes alive with live DJs, fresh drinks and sunny spring energy. From 2–6PM, expect great music, great friends and classic Lake Louise patio vibes as the base area transforms into a lively après scene.

Mt. Slushmore Pond Skim
Lake Louise’s legendary Mt. Slushmore Pond Skim returns to close out the season in style. Break out your best costume and see if you can skim across the icy pond or take a refreshing dip. With DJs, drinks and an electric atmosphere, it’s one of the most entertaining events of the season. What better way to close out the 25/26 season?

Day of Nostalgia and Bruno Engler Memorial Cup
This year Mt. Norquay celebrates an incredible milestone: 100 years of skiing. The Day of Nostalgia invites guests to step back in time with retro ski suits, mountain tours led by local legends and sunny patio BBQs. The celebration also includes the Bruno Engler Memorial Cup, Canada’s longest-running annual ski race.

Bozo and Kinder Cup
Spring at Norquay means one thing: ski racing, costumes and community. The Bozo Cup and Kinder Cup bring racers of all ages together for a weekend of adrenaline and fun. From junior athletes to Olympic-level competitors, this beloved event is a true celebration of the ski racing community.
