Welcome to the team.

Comprised of local Banff-Lake Louise skiers and snowboarders, the Ski Big 3 Free Ride Team are ambassadors and champions of Canada’s Big 3 Resorts.

Gracing the pages of some of the biggest publications in the industry, the team consists of big mountain experts, podium toppers, rising stars and terrain park titleholders. Their abilities and passion for the tri-area encompasses everything that is great about our three resorts.

Team Spotlight – The Women of the Free Ride Team

Coinciding with March’s Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, we’re proud to show off some of the best female talent in Banff-Lake Louise.

Audrey Hebert – You only have to read Audrey’s recent event title winnings to appreciate her level of awesomeness; 1st Lake Louise Ski Resort Boarder Cross Series I, II and III (2012/2013), 1st Sunshine Rockstar Slopestyle and Best trick of the day (2013), 2nd Lake Louise Ski Resort Big Mountain Challenge (2013), 3rd Lake Louise Ski Resort rail jam (2013). Audrey has also represented in National Geographic and on Slopestyle TV.

Emily Kuhn – Emily runs the Park Progression camp as part of the Women’s Snowboarding Federation. The camps help ladies improve their park and freestyle riding which are taught and run by women only.  Emily is proud to promote the progression of women in the sport and has a simple philosophy, ‘If I can help promote the tri-area though our Park Day’s Camp and get girls stoked on riding in the Banff-Lake Louise, then my job is done!’

Willow Boyd – Moving here from Montreal, Willow has been a poster girl for riding in Banff-Lake Louise for the last 8 years. Not just a pretty face, her signature trick is a cracking Back Side 180 and in her spare time she contributes with coaching at many all-girl events in the area to maintain and support the progression of female snowboarding.

Kasper Miller – Long-time local Kasper was born with the three mountains in her blood. From the area originally, Kasper is a rising star in the tri-area. A member of a number of ski clubs, she is our only female skier yet rips it up alongside the guys. She’s been featured in OnTheSnow by award-winning photographer Liam Doran and her best inspiration comes from no other than her Mom. Amazing.

Kyna Daley – Where do we start? Perhaps it’s with Kyna’s media shoots with Samsung, Snowboard Canada, Burton and The Rooster. Or her perhaps her involvement in events including Roxy Ride Days,  Billabong Flaunt it, Rail Jams and promoting women’s snowboarding with Shred Betties. Kyna has managed a snowboard shop for 9 years and is a strong advocate for the terrain and area of Banff-Lake Louise and quite rightly prides herself as one of the strongest female riders in a sport dominated by men.
