Breaking: SkiBig3 becomes the official destination for Prosecco Powder™

SkiBig3, the home of three world-class resorts; Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise Ski Resort, and Mt. Norquay, all nestled within the stunning Canadian Rockies of Banff and Lake Louise, is thrilled to announce its official title as the exclusive destination for Prosecco Powder™.

How the term came about

This exciting development comes from the region’s growing reputation for its sparkling, pristine snow, now referred to as “Prosecco Powder™”. The term originates from renowned skier and powder enthusiast, Fizzabelle Sparkleton, who visited the three SkiBig3 resorts earlier this season. Sparkleton was making fresh powdery turns when she took in a breath, and a few snowflakes landed on her tongue. The snow surprised Sparkleton with its dry, light, and bubbly texture. From that moment, the term Prosecco Powder™ was born and is gaining traction with Bow Valley locals and visitors alike. “We are delighted to be recognised as the official destination for Prosecco Powder™,” said Pete Woods, President of SkiBig3.

The fine, sparkling flakes create an unforgettable skiing and snowboarding experience. Visitors to SkiBig3 can expect to immerse themselves in the magical snow globe. “SkiBig3 is committed to providing an exceptional winter vacation destination for our guests,” Woods added. “With the official recognition of Prosecco Powder™ as our signature snow, we invite visitors to come and experience the magic for themselves. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time snow enthusiast, SkiBig3 offers something truly extraordinary.”

Celebrate the Prosecco Powder™ with SkiBig3

In celebration of this exciting announcement, SkiBig3 encourages visitors from around the world to experience Prosecco Powder™ for themselves. Guests are invited to attend daily testing events held on-mountain at Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise Ski Resort and Mt Norquay. Starting at 9 am throughout the winter, tastings include free samples of the fresh, delicious, organic Prosecco Powder™ which pairs extremely well with mouth-watering après-ski canapés.

For those curious to experience the magical snow firsthand, SkiBig3 offers a range of accommodation options and vacation specials. From lively, modern hotels in the heart of downtown Banff to the luxurious Canadian Castle itself, the Fairmont Banff Springs. With three world-class resorts and breathtaking views of the Canadian Rockies, SkiBig3 promises an unforgettable winter adventure for all.
