How to SkiBig3: 4 Easy Arrival Steps

SkiBig3 in Banff National Park can seem, well, big. With three world-class ski resorts - Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise Ski Resort, and Mt. Norquay, along with two charming mountain towns and the stunning national park itself, there's so much to explore on your winter ski trip. At SkiBig3, we aim to make your experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible, reducing the hassle so you can focus on creating lifelong memories.

To help you get from Calgary Airport to the picturesque town of Banff and onto the SkiBig3 slopes, here are four easy arrival steps to get you skiing and riding the slopes in no time.

SkiBig3 Arrival Checklist

Step 1: Getting to Banff

The closest airport to Banff and Lake Louise is Calgary International Airport (YYC). The journey from Calgary to Banff is an easy 90-minute journey along the Trans-Canada Highway, with no high-mountain mountain passes, just stunning views as you cross the foothills into the mountains. While there are several options for transportation, we recommend booking an airport shuttle which will drop you off right outside your hotel. To book your transfer, simply reach out to one of our SkiBig3 Vacation Specialists via the toll-free number +1-844-754-2443 or email packages@skibig3.com.

If you're looking for more flexibility, consider hiring a rental car for the duration of your vacation. For those travelling from countries without snow, keep Canadian winter driving conditions in mind.

Step 2: Get your tickets

If you've booked your lift tickets 72 hours or more before arrival, they'll be ready and waiting for you at the front desk of your hotel for pick-up. This will allow you to go directly to the lifts at any of the three resorts in the morning without having to go to the ticket window and wait in line.

When you purchase SkiBig3 Lift Tickets online, you will be prompted to tell us where you are staying. This will allow us to deliver your tickets directly to your hotel. If your hotel is not listed, you will have the opportunity to select the SkiBig3 Adventure Hub in Banff or Canmore as your pick-up location.

If you have purchased tickets within 72 hours of your arrival, your tickets will be available to pick up at the SkiBig3 Adventure Hub in Banff or Canmore, as well as any on-mountain guest services at the resorts.

Step 3: Grab your gear

Renting gear is easy from the SkiBig3 Adventure Hub. Once you arrive, the rental team will get you checked in for your fitting. With a large rental fleet to suit every style and skill level for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities, whether you're a beginner or an expert we'll help you find the perfect gear to suit your needs and desired terrain.

Plus, if you get fitted before 8 pm our team will even deliver your gear the very same night to your hotel giving you more time to explore the town of Banff.

The SkiBig3 Adventure Hub is your one-stop shop for all your winter vacation needs. From lift tickets, ski or snowboard rentals, resort-branded merchandise or other winter gear, we have it all. If you've forgotten any small essentials that make a big difference like hand warmers, gloves, goggles or even heated socks - don't worry you can find them up at the SkiBig3 Adventure Hub.

You can find the shuttle times, route maps, weather and daily conditions conveniently from the SkiBig3 App or, you can scan the QR code at the bus stop to find the shuttle schedule.
