Family Time, Nature & Mountains

Life has changed so much over the past few months. Community and family have become focal points in our daily lives. With changing priorities, and new forms of communication fueled by the internet, it’s natural to want to take time out, and reconnect with nature, family and friends.

Every season is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, but winter in Banff National Park is pure joy. Connecting both with nature and community on mountain peaks is a gift that establishes important memories and ground families together forever. There is plenty of room to roam and experience the vastness of this place across the three resorts of Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise Ski Resort and Mt. Norquay.

One young family’s love of snowboarding brought them to the Canadian Rockies to build a life together in the mountains. Once they arrived, they instantly fell in love with the Bow Valley and established deep roots within their mountain community. For the McCorrister family, snowboarding and breathing are one in the same and each day on the mountain is a gift and a chance to build on a father’s legacy.

“Family time together, that definitely was where the love of it came from,” Kandace McCorrister

No matter how life changes, mountains represent a sacred place to reconnect with nature, friends and family. Within these massive mountain landscapes, SkiBig3 is grateful to be a small part of these memories.
