Community Ski Days 2025: $33,600 Raised in Support of Jasper Wildfire Relief
From December 5-7, 2025, the SkiBig3 Community Ski Days brought Bow Valley locals together for three days of skiing and snowboarding across the SkiBig3 resorts. Hosted by Banff Sunshine, Mt. Norquay, and Lake Louise Ski Resort, this event not only offered discounted lift tickets but also served a greater purpose in supporting the Jasper Fire: Caring Community Fund.
Purpose of Community Ski Days
The intention of Community Ski Days is to encourage locals and new residents just arriving for the winter season to experience one, two, or all three of the SkiBig3 resorts while giving back to the surrounding community. For those who live, work, and play in the Bow Valley, these reduced lift ticket rates made skiing and snowboarding more accessible.
With 100% of proceeds going to the Jasper Fire Caring Community Fund, the event provided a meaningful way to support those impacted by the 2024 Jasper fire while embracing the joys of winter in the Rockies. We are proud to share that $33,600 was raised to support recovery efforts in Jasper, helping to provide essential resources to those affected by the 2024 wildfires.

The weekend kicked off at Lake Louise Ski Resort where skiers and riders were treated to plenty of open terrain and early season powder. On Saturday Mt. Norquay welcomed locals for their 100th season. The weekend wrapped up with a day at Banff Sunshine where skiers and riders were greeted by 10cm of fresh snow overnight.
Community Ski Days brought the Bow Valley together to enjoy the slopes and support a meaningful cause. With Banff Sunshine, Mt. Norquay, and Lake Louise Ski Resort, locals and newcomers got a chance to experience SkiBig3 while contributing to recovery efforts in Jasper.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this event. Whether you skied one day or all three, your participation helped support recovery efforts in Jasper while embracing the beauty of winter in the Rockies.
