Best Snowfall in 14 years

Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort located in the Majestic Canadian Rockies of Banff, Alberta and known for "Canada's Best Snow", is currently enjoying a record snowfall winter.

“This is Sunshine's biggest snowfall in 14 years and 3rd biggest ever”, said John Scurfield, Senior Vice President of Resort Operations, Sales and Marketing.

"Sunshine's snowfall records date back to 1970 and the end of January, we have broken records of snowfall not achieved since 1998-1999, over 14 years ago."

Sunshine Village's skiers and riders have been enjoying a record early opening of the Wild West and Delirium Dive, North America's award-winning double black, big mountain terrain.

La Niña has continued to bring Sunshine Village favourable warm temperatures and incredible snowfall, ensuring fantastic conditions for spring skiing.

Located only 8 km (5 miles) west of Banff on the Trans-Canada Highway 1, Sunshine Village's spring skiing season stretches through the May long weekend, which is the longest skiing season in the Canadian Rockies.
