Banff rated in Top 10 "no-car needed" resorts

On the Snow has ranked Banff as one of the top ten ski resorts with worry-free transportation options for guests.

Here’s what OnTheSnow.com had to say about Banff:

“Stay high in the Canadian Rockies in the town of Banff and ski at Lake Louise, Sunshine Village, and Mt. Norquay. Go directly to the lifts using the Big 3 pass. Getting to and from the ski areas is easy on the Banff Shuttle that picks up and delivers at most of the hotels…The skiing is world-class and the scenery literally breathtaking.”

Only Saas Fee, Switzerland; Vail Valley, Colorado; Serfaus, Austria ranked higher. SkiBig3 has taken significant measures to provide guests with convenient round-trip transportation from your hotel to the slopes and from the Calgary International Airport. Shuttle transportation to Mt. Norquay, Lake Louise Ski Resort and Sunshine Village is included in the price of a SkiBig3 lift pass. The shuttles run daily with numerous pick-up and drop-off times from a majority of hotels in Banff and Lake Louise. Return transfers from Calgary International Airport are included in vacation packages booked with SkiBig3.

Off the hills, both towns boast pedestrian-friendly and easily accessible town centres with a multitude of shopping and dining options. The town of Banff also offers new environmentally friendly buses to transport guests around the area.

This winter, leave the car at home and don’t bother with a rental, Banff National Park has more than enough transportation options to choose from.
