First Tracks at Banff Sunshine

Guests arriving bright and early for opening day found easy access to the mountain, with Banff Sunshine’s high speed gondola starting up at 8:00 am to transport skiers and snowboarders up to the upper village. By 9:00 am, guests had access to the Strawberry Express Quad and the Mitey Mite carpet. From Strawberry Express, skiers and riders could explore popular green runs like Dell Valley and Rock Isle Road. Excitement ran high as the first chair took off, with fresh snow blanketing the trails setting the stage for a perfect season opener.

When it was time to recharge, guests headed to Mad Trappers in the upper village for a warm après ski experience, complete with hearty food and a cozy, rustic atmosphere. For those at the base, Creekside Bar + Grill serve comforting classics perfect for refueling after an exhilarating day on the slopes. With the season officially underway, Banff Sunshine is set for an unforgettable winter ahead.
