With the flexibility and exclusivity of our SkiBig3 Lift Tickets, you’re not tied to an itinerary. Grace days are available for all multi-day lift tickets, meaning you can choose when to hit the slopes, and when to hit the snooze button. And, as an SkiBig3 Lift Ticket holder – you have the added benefit of accessing a multitude of local partners who are ready to help you fill your vacation with lots of adventures and apres activities.
But what to do after that blissful sleep in? We’ve got the perfect equation to complement your adrenaline-filled resort days: Energize + Unwind + Indulge.
While it may be tempting to channel your inner sloth on your days off, there’s so much to do outside of the resorts that you won’t want to miss. Skating, ice walks, dog sledding and more, the possibilities are seemingly endless.
Or, stick to the resorts but try different gear! Lake Louise Ski Resort offers Guided Snowshoe Tours to suit every level to take in those panoramic winter vistas, and Banff Sunshine Village also offers some on-foot exploration options. Or try on a tube for size at Mt. Norquay! Available for night tubing on Friday nights, and Saturday nights starting January 6th.
Want to get your blood flowing, but don’t want to brave the cold?
There are a ton of indoor options to do just that, and one of our favourites is a short drive to Canmore. Try the Snow Flow yoga class at WildHeart Studio. Suited for all abilities, this class focuses on deep stretches to repair and strengthen your muscles for days on the slopes.
Banff’s per capita of spa services is pretty favourable, leaving no shortage of options to treat your muscles and mind. After getting in some light activity to set a positive mindset for the day, a spa or massage treatment will be well-deserved.
We recommend booking a half day mountain retreat through Cedar & Sage for a morning of ‘teatox’ and smudging, acupuncture, and massage. Or to tap into a fresh vacation look, try out One Wellness or Mountain Glow Spa for a mountain glam transformation. You’ll feel as flawless as a freshly tuned pair of skis! Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Banff Springs is another tried and true favourite, perfect for a day to unwind with a good book. Or try out the natural thermal waters at the Banff Upper Hot Springs – admission is complimentary with a three day lift ticket.
Our preference for indulgences are as varied as Banff National Park’s terrain. Top off your day of soul treatment with a healthy, nurturing meal from Nourish Bistro. Their ‘Num Num Nachos’ are a unique spin on a classic comfort food (think a rainbow of colour and flavour), and their ‘King Kong Noodles’ will warm you right up from the frosty streets of Banff.
Or maybe you’d like to bask in your day by kicking back with a bevy. Banff Ave Brewing Co. creates an inviting, relaxed atmosphere to let your hair down. Their rotating and seasonal selection of hand-crafted beer are sure to whet your palette.
There is plenty of brainfood to choose from, too! Satisfy your curiosity and learn more about Banff National Park with a visit to the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies. From current exhibits featuring local artists, to fascinating material from the archives, you can easily get lost for an afternoon exploring the local timeline. You’ll learn plenty about the Big 3 resorts, too! All SkiBig3 Guided Adventures participants and 3+ Day SkiBig3 Lift Ticket holders can enjoy access for a $5 Local’s Rate.
