A Guide to Banff’s Best Coffee Spots

What better way to start your morning, than enjoying a coffee and a baked good, whilst enjoying a stunning view of Cascade, Tunnel or Rundle Mountain.

Here in Banff, we have no shortage of unique coffee shops that all have their take on what a café in Banff National Park should look like. Most of these cafes have incorporated a reusable cup program calls “Banff Borrows”. The program aims to reduce single use waste by opting in to borrow a reusable cup and return it at a later date.

We’ve got your guide to Banff best coffee spots. Check them out!

Whitebark

When it comes to finding the best coffee in Banff, one of the local favourites is Whitebark. Located inside the Aspen Lodge, Whitebark has become well known for their coffees and homemade baked goods. Whether you want to enjoy your delicacies inside, take in the mountain views from the patio, or even on the way to your next activity - the choice is all yours.

Mountain Folk Coffee Co.

Recently opened in 2024, Mountain Folk Coffee Co. is an Australian inspired coffee shop, with unique specialty beverages and healthy and delicious food options. Located on the bustling Banff Ave, you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee while watching as tourists pass by.
