5 Experiences at Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies

The Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies is a wealth of information and entertainment for visitors to Banff National Park. There are so many ways to weave the Whyte through your own experiences here, both on or off the slopes. The best part? Access is only $5 CAD (locals rate) for Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective and  SkiBig3 Lift Ticket holders who purchase a 3+ multi-day ticket during the 2017/18 season.

Join our Guided Adventures

New to SkiBig3 this season are our Guided Adventures – a personalized ‘ski-PS’ (think GPS on skis) program. Our guides plan a personalized itinerary to fit your interests and abilities, while providing you with local intel and history about our three resorts.

Walk Down Memory Lane

If you’ve gotten a taste for the story of Banff and want to learn more, why not pay the Whyte Museum a visit yourself? From First Nations’ regalia and artifacts, to national park milestones, to exhibits on the first explorers, movers and shakers. There’s so much to learn and experience.

Our insider tip? Make a visit to the Whyte a priority when you first arrive to Banff. Learning about the local area beforehand will allow you to ‘set the scene’ when you experience Banff for yourself.

Take in a Local Exhibition

While the ongoing Gateway to the Rockies heritage gallery exhibition is semi-permanent, with a variety of rotating “pop-up” features, the art gallery exhibitions change multiple times a year. No matter when you visit, it’s sure to delight the senses.
