SkiBig3 is currently seeking a full-time Adventure Hub bike & ski technician/attendant for our store on Banff Avenue.  The person in this role will focus on assisting with the sale, repair and maintenance of our bike rental fleet for the summer, transitioning to help maintain the ski and snowboard rental fleet for the winter season. The person in this role will have previous bike tuning and rental shop experience, and will possess excellent customer service skills. Effective immediately.

The SkiBig3 Adventure Hub, located on Banff Ave, provides the year-round central distribution point for the sale of ticket products, retail merchandise, activity bookings and visitor information. The “Hub” is a one stop shop for the destination visitor and endeavours to simplify the guest experience. It is also the only location in Banff where visitors can purchase ski area or SkiBig3 designed merchandise.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing guests with bike, ski, rental, retail and product information
  • Bike tech and general maintenance
  • Turnaround of our summer and winter rental fleets
  • Processing all aspects of a rental transaction (liability forms, fitting of equipment and payment)
  • Accurately processing end of day procedures
  • Communicate and work effectively with all ski areas and staff
  • Work effectively within the SkiBig3 team
  • Selling SkiBig3 and resort specific products including snow school, lift tickets, season passes and general retail merchandise
  • Boot/ski/snowboard fitting

Job Requirements/Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of bikes is essential
  • Be able to administer basic repairs to our bike fleet
  • Tune shop experience required
  • Knowledge of skis and snowboard rentals is an asset
  • Must be able to work independently and organize bike rental area
  • Knowledge of retail operating systems, is an asset
  • Organized, efficient, responsible and mature
  • High energy, friendly and outgoing with excellent guest service skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Ability to troubleshoot guest problems, minor network and printer issues
  • Good working knowledge of computers, data management systems and applications
  • Proven ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing work environments
  • Experience in a sales focused environment

Other Requirements:

  • Candidate must reside in the Bow Valley
  • Valid working visa/work permit required
  • Must be able to lift and carry numerous sets of equipment and heavy boxes
  • Valid Canadian drivers licence a plus
