There isn’t a more perfect setting than Banff National Park for a winter Valentine’s Day. Spend the time with your beloved between the snowcapped peaks and the ski resorts.
Valentine’s Day Torchlight Dinner and Parade
Ski the #1 Resort in Canada as voted for in the World Ski Awards after dark and by torchlight! Lake Louise Ski Resort is running their popular Torchlight Dinner & Ski this Valentine’s Day.
Experience the mountain from a whole new perspective as you explore after hours. The excitement begins at the newly renovated mid mountain lodge, Whitehorn Lodge, where you will enjoy après drinks, appetizers and live music in a majestic setting.
Following après, you will enjoy first tracks down a freshly groomed run with professional staff as your escorts. After, head to the Sitzmark Lounge where a smorgasbord of food and entertainment awaits you.
If you miss this one, there will be one more Torchlight Dinner and Parade on March 14th.
Sunshine Village – Yoga & Ski
Enjoy finding your Zen with your loved one at 7,000ft! Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort has launched a brand new restorative yoga mountain retreat.
The new program combines a majestic Rocky Mountain ski experience with the serenity and relaxation of an on-mountain yoga practice. The package also includes a specialized menu featuring healthy, organic fare crafted exclusively by Executive Chef Martin Brenner of the Sunshine Mountain Lodge.
The resort’s unique location as the only on-mountain accommodation in Banff National Park provides the perfect backdrop to immerse yourself in a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The retreat will also include a guided mountain tour with a Sunshine Village’s certified ski instructor.
We’ve even got something for singles!
Chairlift Speed Dating on Valentine’s Day
For any single skiers out there looking for love, Mt. Norquay is once again hosting Chair Lift Speed Dating, Lifts of Love.
Winter can be a lonely time when you’re single (especially when the ski season in Banff-Lake Louise lasts from November until May). So Cupid himself will be on the slopes of Mt. Norquay to match up lonely ski hearts this Valentine’s Day.
February 14th 2014 will see a night of skiing for singles on the slopes of Mt. Norquay. As the home of the only night skiing and tubing in Banff National Park and closest resort to the town of Banff, the resort is the perfect setting to find love on the slopes this season in Banff-Lake Louise.
Skiers and boarders can line up in the ‘Singles Love Lane’ and prepare to board the chairlift with other likeminded lonely hearts. The chairlift is the perfect opportunity for some one-on-one time and singles already have the common interest of skiing or boarding as a conversation starter. Once the ride to the top is over, skiers can choose whether they ski off into the sunset….or in opposite directions.
Whether you’re seeking a man, woman or ski buddy, everyone is welcome. Meet a new person on every ride and let the magic unfold on the mountain.
