Sunshine Village will host its first ever Salomon Berry Rail Jam this Saturday, March 29 in a newly constructed terrain park.
This debut freestyle competition, the first in a series of four rail jam events taking place this spring, will see men and women skiers and snowboarders aged 13-years and older compete on specialty rails and boxes set up on the Pandemonium Hill in front of the Mad Trapper’s Saloon spring patio. Contestants will be judged on difficulty, variety and execution with four categories featured including women’s ski, women’s snowboard, men’s ski and men’s snowboard.
Registration to the event begins at 8 a.m. in the West Wing meeting room in the Sunshine Mountain Lodge with the event kicking off at 11:30 a.m. Contestants must pay a flat fee of $15 on the day of each event to register.
The resort will round out the four series event with competitions taking place on Saturday, April 19, Sunday, April 20 and Saturday, May 17.

The weekend will also feature a live DJ, an outdoor BBQ and prizes for all contestants. The Salomon Berry Rail Jam is accessible to all of Sunshine’s on-mountain guests.
