It’s back. The colossal end of season party, Ruckus in the Rockies (May 2-3), returns and it promises not to disappoint.
Into its fourth year at the Lake Louise Ski Resort, the event boasts the biggest Mega Hip Jam competition in the region on Monster features with some of the best riders in the world competing. Events are viewable from the base area and the deck of the Kokanee Kabin meaning skiers, riders and the general public can enjoy it for free. Also included in the entertainment are live DJ’s, BBQ’s and general end of season festivities to send off the season.
Saturday May 3rd will also see the return of the annual fundraiser, Bikinis for Breast Cancer. A great event that’s open to women of all ages, participants will ski, snowboard or telemark down an easy course in an “S” formation in their bikini tops and snow pants meeting in a central location at the base of the mountain. Last year a whopping $25,000 was raised.
The official end of season after-party takes place in the Lodge of the Ten Peaks from 9pm. Due to the event being awesome, tickets have now sold out.
The Lake Louise Ski Resort officially closes on May 11 after extending its ski season due to one of the snowiest March’s on record.
