Local Olympian brings home bronze at Sochi 2014

Jan Hudec Resized Better

They say commitment is the key to success, and Jan Hudec is a testament to that. Our very own homegrown talent, Jan Hudec won an Olympic bronze medal in the men’s Alpine Ski Super G over the weekend. The medal is the first Canadian Olympic alpine ski medal for two decades.

Jan and his family of committed skiers have spent the last 20 years skiing and racing on the slopes of Canada’s Big 3 Resorts. His parents worked in Banff on the Mountain Ski Academy which ultimately saw Jan spending 10 years growing up and living to ski at the renowned resorts and developing the skills as a ski racer. Now residing in Calgary, we’re honoured that Jan calls this region home.

On behalf of everyone here at Ski Banff-Lake Louise-Sunshine, we’d like to extend a huge congratulations to Jan and to every Canadian Olympian representing at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. Well done guys, we feel like proud parents.
