5 Signs You’re Ready for Winter (and SkiBig3)

One second, you’re enjoying summer, the next you’re reminiscing about Prosecco Powder (TM)  face shots at Banff Sunshine Village, corduroy at Mt. Norquay, and that Lake Louise Ski Resort thigh burn you weirdly miss. The truth is, there are clear signs your brain has flipped to ski mode. Here are five ways to tell you are ready for winter and a trip to SkiBig3.

1. Your Social Feed Looks Like a Season Edit

Some people’s feeds are all hikes and pumpkin spice. You? It’s wall-to-wall white room: powdery face shots, fresh corduroy clips, and avalanche rescue dog reels. If you’ve double-tapped more winter reels than summer or fall lately, you’re officially in preseason mode.

2. You’re Dreaming of That Great Closet Reunion

The boots still carry that unmistakable eau de après from last May. Your edges are begging for a tune. And yet… every time you walk past your gear, you whisper, “Soon.” That ritualistic first gear-wipe? Consider it the skier or boarder's version of a love letter.

3. Your Workout Routine Is Basically “Leg Day Forever”

Your friends are still chasing beach abs, but you’re chasing quads of steel. Squats, lunges, wall sits, repeat. Maybe even a balance board session because powder legs don’t build themselves. By now, your playlists are split between “cardio-meets-chairlift hype” and the après DJ’s 2000s mix.

4. You’ve Already Stalked the SkiBig3 Website for Opening Dates, Pass Perks, and Deals

Your browser history says it all: SkiBig3 tentative opening days, webcams, early-bird forecasts, pass perks, lodging deals, …and even searching “how soon can I ski the Big 3?” and “how accurate is the Farmer’s Almanac?”  When your search bar autocompletes to skibig3.com, it’s not a coincidence.

5. Ski Slang Is Sneaking into Your Everyday Talk

The language of winter is creeping back into your everyday jargon, whether anyone else gets it or not. You’re “sending it” on work projects, calling a bad meeting a “bail,” and describing your outfit as having “serious steeze.” A sunny day is officially “bluebird,” traffic feels “gnarly,” and the last hour of your workday? That’s your personal “power hour.” If your vocab sounds like the chairlift, winter is definitely on your brain.

If any of these signs hit a little too close to home, congratulations. You’re already in winter mode. Now is the time to make it real. Ski & Stay packages up to 40% off wrap September 2. The $299 down, 4-month payment plan for SkiBig3 Season Passes ends September 11. Three resorts, fresh powder, and the season you’ve been waiting for are closer than you think.
