Genuine Winter Adventure

Bring a valid passport - these days it's best to have your passport as well as valid ID and/or driver's license when traveling. Special note for US Travelers

Bring warm layers - you may not need them but better safe than sorry - wool socks and fleece layers will keep your tootsies warm on the lifts.
Rent skis - Leave your skis or board at home if they are more than 4 years old, leave boots at home if they are more than 8 years old. You'll enjoy and be amazed with the new equipment. Renting equipment for 3 days or more is quite inexpensive.
Plan ahead - contact our Ski Vacation Specialists by email or by calling toll free in North America 1-877-754-7080 - delay too long and the most desired accommodation may not be available for your dates.
Start or continue your physical fitness and stretching program - you'll get a lot more out of each ski day on your vacation.
Be realistic about a budget - if you plan to ski for a week for less than it costs you to live at home, you're not being realistic. To Put another way, plan to enjoy your vacation - some think roughing it is part of the deal, some think it's not - which are you?
Plan some activities and a day off - give yourself time to relax as well, experience some of the other great activities available - spa, x-country skiing, snowmobile tours, heli-skiing, snoeshoeing, shopping...
Buy trip insurance to protect your investment - but make sure you only buy what you need - only insure what you can lose after all refunds are taken.
Value your time! If you spend all your free time over the next two months trying to plan a vacation, you're wasting your time. Call us, let us do all the work, our vacation specialists live here and know the services and properties in the area.
Skiing is social - plan with friends and family. But don't plan on teaching your children/spouse/friends. Chances are it's better to let our Snow school professionals do this.
Plan to take a lesson on the first day or two to 'get your legs back' (reacquire your skiing/boarding skills) This also gets you a professional's tour of which slopes might be best for you and is a great opportunity to meet people (Club Ski & Snowboard).
In North America, a 15% gratuity is customary at sit-down restaurants and dining areas.
