All Three Resorts Now Open in Banff-Lake Louise-Sunshine!
November 19, 2010: BANFF-LAKE LOUISE, Alberta, Canada
Sunshine Village opened today with fantastic conditions, after heavier than predicted snowfall all week long. Six lifts and over 35 runs are available, all covered in natural snow.
This adds to the terrain already available at The Lake Louise Ski Area and Sunshine Village. Half a metre of snow has fallen in the last three days in Banff-Lake Louise, adding to the strong base. With more snow forecast, extra terrain will be available soon!
Sunshine Village joins just a handful of resorts already open in Canada, including The Lake Louise Ski Area, the first Canadian resort to open on November 5, and Mt. Norquay, open for weekends since November 13. On Saturday Mt. Norquay will open another lift, Sundance Carpet, for beginners.
Skiers and snowboarders will be greeted with the new Strawberry express quad and Creekside Restaurant at Sunshine Village. Other highlights this season include the new Skier/Boardercross and Burton Learn to Ride at The Lake Louise Ski Area, and 85th birthday celebrations at Mt. Norquay.
