Santa Delivers Tons of Terrain!
December 20th, 2010: BANFF-LAKE LOUISE, Alberta, Canada
Banff-Lake Louise is wide open! Almost 8,000 acres of terrain are now available at Mt. Norquay, The Lake Louise Ski Area and Sunshine Village.
The last lift to open started spinning this week, whisking skiers and snowboarders at Sunshine Village to the Continental Divide, and tubing at the newly expanded Tube Town opened at Mt Norquay. Plus a little elf told us Santa’s bringing even more snow to Banff-Lake Louise this Christmas!
The New Year brings new excitement to the three resorts. Mt. Norquay will again offer night skiing and riding, including a fully lit terrain park, on Wednesdays and Fridays from January 7, 2011. The Lake Louise Ski Area is debuting its new Skier/Boardercross Circuit in January, holding the first Open Series at the end of the month. Sunshine Village will soon have over 15 acres of freestyle terrain open in the Rogers Terrain Park, offering over 50 features including boxes, rails and tables.
