Watch Banff’s Next Top Models!

May 4th, 2009: BANFF-LAKE LOUISE, Alberta, Canada

We’ve been on the hunt for Banff’s Next Top Model – people who love to ski and ride, live to have fun and know there are no friends on powder days!

And we found them, at the Toronto Ski, Snowboard and Travel Show, 2008. Watch Christina and Tommy, out here in Banff-Lake Louise! Hundreds of skiers and riders of all ages competed to be crowned Banff’s Next Top Model at the Toronto Ski, Snowboard and Travel Show in October 2008.

Our winners, best friend duo Christina and Tommy from Ontario, impressed the judges with their outgoing personalities and love of snowboarding. Their prize included a ski/snowboard vacation to Banff-Lake Louise, plenty of swag and the opportunity to be featured in our 2009-10 advertising campaign.

“I’m totally pumped to be Banff’s Next Top Model!” said Christina. “The hills here are huge with a great reputation. Oh, I have to stop calling them hills, these are mountains – they’re huge!”

The competition was organized by Ski Banff-Lake Louise-Sunshine (SBLLS) as part of their annual sales presence at the Show. Contrary to typical model searches, SBLLS centered the search around what they believe to be true beauty – a love of snow and the outdoors, and a fantastic personality.

Ski Banff-Lake Louise-Sunshine would like to thank all those who participated. We invite everyone to strut their snow-loving stuff at the auditions at the Better Living Centre, Toronto on October 15 to 18, 2009, for the chance to be Banff’s Next Top Model, 2009.
