(SBLLS) values the personal information that our customers
provide to us, and we respect the privacy of our customers
and employees. Compliance
As of January 1, 2004, new federal (PIPEDA) and provincial
legislation (PIPA) went into effect to recognize the right
of privacy of individuals with respect to their personal
information. SBLLS has appointed a Privacy Officer, and
established Privacy Policies that comply with this new legislation.
Use
SBLLS collection and use of personal information is limited
to providing information to customers and prospective customers,
for statistical analysis of travel trends and internet use
habits, and for the delivery or fulfillment of purchased
products and services. This may include email distribution
of newsletters, periodic advisories of SBLLS travel features
and specials or snowfall alerts, and mail distribution of
promotional brochures and opportunities.
Consent
If you are currently on the SBLLS customer list, it is because
you have requested information, purchased a product or service
from SBLLS, entered a contest with SBLLS, or subscribed
to the SBLLS newsletter. If you do not instruct SBLLS to
remove your personal information from SBLLS customer lists,
SBLLS will consider that you have consented to SBLLS use
of your personal information for the Uses indicated above.
Withdrawal
If you would like to be removed from the SBLLS list, you
may notify the Privacy Officer at SBLLS at any time.
Disclosure
It is not customary for SBLLS to rent, sell, share or disclose
personal information about customers or employees to any
3rd party. If such a need occurs, SBLLS will not rent, sell,
share or disclose personal information about customers or
employees without the prior consent of said customers or
employees.
Individual Access
Upon request, an individual may have access to his/her personal
information held by SBLLS. Requests should be addressed
in writing to the Privacy Officer at SBLLS.
SBLLS commits to respond to said requests within 45 days
of receipt.
At any time, an individual may submit a request for a change
to personal information. Submissions should be made in writing
to the Privacy Officer at SBLLS.
